Amazing night hosting the red carpet at this super slick feature film premiere. Directed in his debut by Naeem Mahmood BYT weaves a tale of triumph over adversity, young people with big dreams, determined to succeed against all odds.
From a fashion perspective the films wardrobe is vibrant, oozing individual style and really made this film come to life. highlights for me were lead male Paul Chiedozie’s character Terrell Macintosh – officially the coolest man in London and Kimberley Marren’s depiction of party girl Shaz – suitably vulnerable at times and then all feminine sexuality and power.

One thing I get asked a lot, is how to look good in photos. This I would agree is an art form which can take years of practice, but one that is certainly worth the trouble. Think how often a bad holiday snap can trigger major issues with self image. So many women are unhappy with their weight and general appearance, frustrated about diets that don’t work and exercise they have no time to do. What I try to encourage is ways of giving the appearance of a slimmer/taller/curvier/petite figure (depending of course on what the client wants) and achieve this through clever clothes and accessory choices.
This past year I have been blessed with an insight into a wonderful part of the globe known as Lebanon and the tiny cosmopolitan city of Beirut. Geographically it sits on the Mediterranean Sea and borders Syria and Israel. Non geographically it sits firmly in my heart..
